Responsibilities:
Cytotechnologists are responsible for staining, mounting, and studying the cells of the human body to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions.
The tech performs a full range of laboratory tests and independently operates laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and analyze cell samples, such as Papanicolaou (PAP) smear, body fluids, and fine needle aspirations (FNAs), to detect abnormal conditions Maintain a roster of patients requiring follow-up analysis and advise Pathologist of cell changes in subsequent specimen analysis Enter data from medical tests and clinical results into the information system for storageTo Apply for this Job Click Here Recommended Skills Instrumentation Oncology Pathology Manufacturing Laboratory Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
