Job DescriptionMaintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Meets with physical therapist on regular basis to discuss patient treatment plans and set goals.
Works with staff in development of professional skills and new programs as needed.
Willingly participates in continuing education programs when requested.
Treatments are performed as ordered in a safe, timely manner.
Staff and family members are involved in the treatment when indicated.
Medical documentation is in accordance with APTA standards of care.
Participates in Performance Improvement monitors, reporting, utilization of Physical Therapy Services.
Attends and takes part in services, meetings, and educational sessions.
Ensures an orderly, clean and safe work area.
Displays an understanding and appropriately modifies approach to each patient based on the patient's cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturity in the assessment, treatment and care under taken.
Adheres to all facility and corporate policies and procedures.
Performs evidenced based care.
Seeks out research to support interventions.
Willingly participates in other duties although not directly assigned.
Seeks out work that needs to be done.
Is accountable for cost-effective quality patient care and assists other personnel in containing costs.
Recognizes problems and recommends solutions for positive changes in operations.
Demonstrates an ability to adapt to changes in operations, management styles and position routines.
Assumes personal responsibilities for professional development and continuing education.
Respects the confidentiality of patient's records and facility operations.
Uses discretion when discussing patient matters.
Demonstrates a complete knowledge of the staffing hierarchical structure and chain of command; follows proper lines of communication.
Is willing to adjust personal schedule to complete workload or special assignments when requested.
Demonstrates an ability to set appropriate priorities and is prompt in completing assigned activities.
Provides proper notification and advance notice for absence.
Never abuses or takes advantage of sick time or personal time; maintains personal health; rarely is absent from work due to health problems.
Qualifications/Training:
Educated in growth and development from birth to geriatric Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education Current South Carolina licensure.
